The Product Industrialization Engineer is responsible for bridging product development and serial manufacturing by leading the industrialization of new products within a technically advanced production environment. The role supports the transition from prototype to volume production, ensuring robust manufacturing processes, product maturity, and operational readiness. Working closely with R&D, manufacturing, automation, and production teams, the successful candidate contributes to continuous process improvements while ensuring high standards of quality, reliability, and productivity.

Responsibilities

New Product Industrialization

  • Support the transition of new products from development into controlled manufacturing environments.

  • Build, configure, and validate advanced technical systems for prototype and early production units.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to improve product manufacturability and production readiness.

Manufacturing Process Development

  • Improve, standardize, and optimize production processes to increase efficiency, quality, and repeatability.

  • Develop manufacturing documentation, process instructions, and support production training activities.

  • Collaborate with automation teams to mature manufacturing processes and production capabilities.

Technical Problem Solving and Quality Improvement

  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues using structured root cause analysis methodologies.

  • Analyze manufacturing and test data to identify improvement opportunities in quality, productivity, and process stability.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and product reliability.

Production Transfer and Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Support the successful transfer of products and manufacturing processes into full-scale production.

  • Work closely with engineering, production, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless product introductions.

  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives that improve manufacturing performance and product lifecycle management.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Optics, Photonics, Electronics, Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.

  • Experience working with complex technical systems in manufacturing or product industrialization environments.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), manufacturing engineering, or production engineering activities.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in troubleshooting and process improvement.

  • Experience interpreting manufacturing and test data to drive operational improvements.

  • Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with photonics, laser systems, optical fibers, free-space optics, or electronic test equipment.

  • Experience working in advanced manufacturing or high-technology production environments.

  • Exposure to process standardization, production optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary engineering and manufacturing teams.
