Our client is a deep-tech company developing advanced quantum-based security technologies for next-generation digital infrastructures. With a strong focus on quantum entropy and cryptographic enablement, the organization delivers hardware-rooted randomness solutions designed to strengthen encryption systems across connected devices, cloud platforms, and critical environments.
Mission
The Cryptographic System Engineer will drive the integration, validation, and deployment of quantum entropy solutions within real-world cryptographic infrastructures. Acting as the bridge between quantum hardware and customer applications, this role ensures seamless SDK integration, rigorous compliance validation, and secure implementation across diverse environments.
Responsibilities
SDK Integration and Cryptographic Enablement
- Design and implement SDK integrations with cryptographic libraries such as OpenSSL, WolfSSL, and comparable security stacks.
- Develop and maintain integration libraries and APIs enabling secure entropy injection into cryptographic workflows.
- Support cryptographic provider architectures and secure entropy distribution mechanisms.
Testing, Validation, and Compliance
- Develop comprehensive validation suites for entropy delivery systems, including throughput analysis and statistical testing.
- Perform end-to-end validation of secure communication endpoints, including mTLS verification.
- Ensure compliance with relevant cryptographic and entropy standards such as NIST statistical requirements.
Entropy Platform Development
- Contribute to the development and optimization of rack-mounted entropy delivery systems.
- Execute roadmap initiatives, perform bug fixes, and support release validation activities.
- Collaborate with FPGA, embedded systems, and QA teams to ensure seamless hardware-software integration.
Use Case Development and Customer Support
- Build reference implementations and proof-of-concept demonstrations across IoT, cloud, and post-quantum cryptographic scenarios.
- Provide pre-sales technical guidance and post-deployment integration support.
- Create clear and structured technical documentation, including API references and integration guides.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
- 3–4+ years of experience in application engineering, solutions engineering, or embedded software development.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ and Python, with experience in SDK development and API design.
- Hands-on experience integrating cryptographic libraries such as OpenSSL or WolfSSL.
- Solid understanding of mTLS, PKI, certificate management, and secure networking protocols.
- Experience designing and implementing validation suites for complex systems.
- Advanced English and Spanish communication skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with embedded systems, RTOS, or embedded Linux environments.
- Familiarity with FPGA systems, SPI/I2C/UART interfaces, or hardware-software co-design.
- Knowledge of NIST SP 800-90B/90C, FIPS 140-3, or entropy quality evaluation methodologies.
- Exposure to post-quantum cryptography or quantum-resistant implementations.
- Experience with containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing environments.
- Background in technical account management or field application engineering.
