Mission
The Analog IC Designer will contribute to the definition, design, verification, and integration of analog and mixed-signal circuits central to high-speed optical transceiver systems. The mission of this role is to ensure the creation of high-performance AMS IP blocks that meet stringent system requirements, support seamless integration with digital logic, and enable reliable silicon validation. This position has a direct technical impact on the performance and scalability of the company’s next-generation communication products.
Responsibilities
- Specification & Architecture
- Define specifications for analog and mixed-signal blocks including ADCs, DACs, PLLs, data interfaces, and optoelectronic modules.
- Contribute to system-level analyses to ensure correct block-level functionality and interface consistency.
- Circuit Design & Verification
- Execute transistor-level design in advanced CMOS nodes (65 nm / 28 nm and below) from schematic to extracted-level verification.
- Perform simulations across corners, conditions, and parasitics to guarantee robustness and compliance with system targets.
- Layout Collaboration
- Provide layout guidelines for full-custom blocks and review layout work for adherence to performance, matching, and reliability requirements.
- Laboratory Support & Silicon Validation
- Collaborate with test engineers to define test procedures for fabricated ICs.
- Analyze lab characterization data and correlate measurements with simulation results.
- Modeling & Mixed-Signal Integration
- Develop behavioral models for system-level evaluation of analog and mixed-signal blocks.
- Support AMS integration and mixed-signal verification within digital processing environments.
- Innovation & Documentation
- Research new architectures and propose efficient design solutions for future products.
- Participate in patent development and internal technical documentation.
- Present progress and design results in internal meetings.
Required Qualifications
- MSc or PhD in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in analog and mixed-signal IC design with advanced CMOS technologies.
- Proven experience in schematic design, extracted-level verification, and AMS design methodologies.
- Strong command of EDA tools such as Cadence or Synopsys for full-custom analog design.
- Solid understanding of analog layout techniques and ability to review physical implementations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred Experience
- Experience delivering successful silicon products including characterization and productization.
- Experience designing full-custom analog IP in sub-nanometric CMOS nodes.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams for mixed-signal verification and system-level integration.
- Strong analytical mindset, organized work style, and motivation to integrate into a dynamic engineering environment.
