Mission
The Project Manager will oversee the full lifecycle of high-complexity programs within the space segment.
This role ensures delivery on time, within scope and budget, while aligning cross-functional teams and
maintaining high technical standards. The position directly contributes to the execution of strategic
space initiatives and acts as primary liaison with governmental and industrial stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Project Management & Execution
- Define and monitor project milestones, schedules, budgets, and deliverables
- Prepare and maintain technical and functional specifications (requirement documents)
- Track and report project progress through structured status updates and documentation
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Align internal stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing, and quality departments
- Coordinate internal workflows and manage interfaces between project participants
- Lead and document review processes with external clients and partners
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as primary point of contact for client communication throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure transparency of progress and risks to internal management and external sponsors
Required Qualifications
- Degree in engineering, physics, or related technical field (Dipl.-Ing., MSc, or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading complex technical projects
- Proven experience in aerospace or space-related programs
- Certification in project management (IPMA Level D or equivalent)
- Fluency in German and English (spoken and written)
Preferred Experience
- Background in sensor technology or electro-optics
- Familiarity with public-sector project environments and procurement structures
