Mission

The Sales Engineer will lead the commercial development of advanced optical and mechanical component solutions, with a strong emphasis on laser-based systems and precision manufacturing services. This role combines technical understanding with commercial drive and is critical to identifying new opportunities, managing client relationships, and ensuring alignment between technical requirements and business goals.


Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Development

  • Identify and engage new clients in both domestic and international markets.

  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers through proactive support and communication.

  • Understand technical requirements and translate them into value-driven proposals.

Quotation & Project Execution

  • Prepare detailed technical-commercial offers based on product and service specifications.

  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, and delivery terms with customers.

  • Oversee order execution and serve as liaison between client, engineering, and production teams.

Technical Communication & Support

  • Interpret technical drawings and documentation, including tolerancing, finishes, and assembly fit standards.

  • Provide input on feasibility and alignment between client needs and internal capabilities.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions, offers, and sales processes.


Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.

  • Fluency in English (spoken and written); additional language skills are an advantage.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including with international clients.

  • Ability to read and understand ISO-based technical drawings and specifications (e.g., tolerances, surface finish, threads).

  • Motivation to learn, grow, and actively contribute to the company’s sales performance.


Essential Skills & Experience

  • Solid understanding of laser physics, optical components, or photonic technologies.

  • Previous experience in B2B technical sales, ideally within the laser or precision engineering sectors.

  • Customer-oriented mindset with ability to manage complex requirements.

  • Organised, autonomous, and comfortable working in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
