  • Build and execute short- and long-term roadmaps for device performance, process capabilities, and production readiness.
  • Monitor industry trends, customer feedback, and emerging technologies to guide innovation priorities.
Development and Industrialization
  • Lead the development and scale-up of GaAs-based photonic components (e.g., lasers, detectors, high-speed transistors).
  • Drive the industrialization of new processes and technologies, ensuring yield, reliability, and scalability.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of GaAs products from R&D to volume production and customer delivery.
Cross-functional Leadership
  • Coordinate with internal teams across R&D, process engineering, operations, and commercial groups.
  • Oversee risk assessment and mitigation strategies in process integration, supply chain, and production workflows.
  • Represent the company at technical conferences and with strategic partners or stakeholders.
People and Team Development
  • Mentor engineering and technical teams, fostering innovation and continuous learning.
  • Assess team performance, drive capability growth, and contribute to a high-engagement work culture.
  • Serve as the main technical reference point for cross-site projects and interdepartmental collaboration.

Required Qualifications
  • PhD or Master’s degree in Engineering, Photonics, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in compound semiconductor R&D or manufacturing, with a focus on GaAs technologies.
  • Proven leadership in scaling up complex technologies and managing cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Deep hands-on knowledge of GaAs device design, fabrication, and integration for photonics or RF applications.
  • Familiarity with cleanroom operations and tools for epitaxy, lithography, etching, and metallization.
  • Proficient in photonic simulation/design tools (e.g., KLayout, Lumerical, COMSOL), and DRC/PDK standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in technology transfer and industrialization of advanced processes.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both technical and executive-level.

Preferred Experience
  • Certifications in project or change management (e.g., Agile PM, PMI, Lean, Six Sigma, PRINCE2).
  • Experience engaging with international customers, suppliers, or technology partners.
  • Strong track record in mentoring and developing high-performance technical teams.
