  • Develop novel electro-optic and acousto-optic devices for scientific and industrial use.

  • Design and build experimental optical setups for component characterization and system testing.

  • Participate in the full development cycle: concept, simulation, prototyping, validation.

Simulation and Modeling

  • Conduct advanced multi-domain simulations (optical, thermal, acoustic, mechanical, crystal physics).

  • Evaluate and optimize performance using tools such as COMSOL, CST, OSLO, or Zemax.

System Integration and Prototyping

  • Collaborate on CAD mechanical designs for integration of optical assemblies.

  • Support PCB prototyping, optical alignment, and micro-positioning activities.

  • Analyze experimental data and contribute to continuous improvement of product performance.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher (Ph.D. or PostDoc preferred) in Applied Physics, AMOP, Photonics, Optical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Hands-on experience with complex optical and laser-based systems (e.g., cold atoms, quantum simulation, metrology).

  • Proficiency in one or more simulation tools (e.g., Matlab, COMSOL, CST, OSLO, Zemax).

  • Strong programming skills in Python and proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks).

  • Demonstrated self-reliance, hands-on attitude, and capacity to work in interdisciplinary lab environments.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in miniaturization of optical assemblies and high-precision optical alignment.

  • Simulation and analysis of complex physical or optical systems, including fiber optics.

  • Familiarity with design and testing of analog/digital circuits for RF or high-voltage applications.
