Mission
The Vice President of EMEA Sales will define and execute the
company's EMEA commercial strategy, driving revenue growth through the
commercialization of advanced quantum computing systems, scientific
infrastructure, and strategic technology partnerships.
Reporting directly to the executive leadership team, this
individual will build and lead a high-performing EMEA sales organization
focused on selling complex hardware platforms and integrated quantum computing
solutions to government agencies, national laboratories, enterprise customers,
hyperscalers, and research institutions.
The role is instrumental in accelerating international
growth, expanding strategic customer relationships, and establishing the
company as a EMEA commercial leader in quantum technologies.
Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy & Business Development
- Define
and execute the EMEA commercial strategy aligned with the company's
long-term business objectives.
- Identify
new market opportunities across government, defense, scientific research,
high-performance computing, artificial intelligence infrastructure, and
advanced industrial sectors.
- Develop
strategic partnerships and commercial initiatives that accelerate revenue
growth and market expansion.
- Build
and maintain a robust pipeline of high-value opportunities involving
multimillion-dollar capital equipment investments and long-term technology
partnerships.
Sales Leadership
- Build,
lead, and develop a world-class international sales organization.
- Recruit,
mentor, and retain high-performing commercial leaders and strategic
account executives across key EMEA regions.
- Establish
scalable sales processes, forecasting methodologies, performance metrics,
and operational governance.
- Foster
a high-performance culture focused on execution excellence,
accountability, and long-term customer success.
Strategic Customer Engagement
- Lead
executive relationships with government agencies, national laboratories,
hyperscalers, research organizations, and Fortune 500 companies.
- Personally
manage complex consultative sales cycles involving executive stakeholders,
procurement teams, scientists, engineers, and technical decision-makers.
- Negotiate
strategic commercial agreements for on-premise quantum computing systems,
integrated hardware platforms, hybrid infrastructure solutions, and
long-term service contracts.
- Represent
the company during executive briefings, customer negotiations, strategic
partnerships, and international industry events.
Cross-functional Leadership
- Partner
closely with Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing, Applications
Engineering, Customer Success, and Executive Leadership to align
commercial strategy with product capabilities and market requirements.
- Translate
customer and market insights into actionable recommendations for product
development and future commercial initiatives.
- Support
strategic alliances with technology partners, research organizations,
system integrators, and channel partners to strengthen the company's EMEA
market position.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's
degree in Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer
Engineering, Business, or another relevant discipline. MBA preferred.
- Minimum
of 15 years of progressive commercial leadership experience within
deep-tech, advanced technology, or scientific industries.
- Experience
within Quantum Computing, High Performance Computing (HPC), Scientific
Instrumentation, Semiconductor Equipment, Cryogenic Systems, Photonics,
RF/Microwave Systems, or other advanced engineering sectors.
- Experience
selling to government organizations, defense agencies, national
laboratories, supercomputing centers, or research institutions.
- Experience
building and scaling global commercial organizations within high-growth
technology companies.
- Established
network within the international deep-tech, scientific, semiconductor, or
advanced computing ecosystem.
- Proven
success selling complex hardware platforms, scientific instrumentation,
semiconductor equipment, advanced computing infrastructure, photonics,
cryogenic systems, or comparable capital equipment solutions.
- Demonstrated
experience leading international enterprise and government sales
organizations managing complex sales cycles with multimillion-dollar
contract values.
- Strong
understanding of consultative solution selling within multidisciplinary
engineering environments.
- Experience
negotiating strategic commercial agreements with enterprise customers,
government agencies, research institutions, or national laboratories.
- Excellent
executive communication, leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder
management skills.
